Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Tracy Nales is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of EM Ship Repair, LLC, providing strategic leadership and executive oversight across all company operations.

She oversees contract review, specification analysis, estimating, budgeting, compliance, and federal proposal development in support of U.S. Navy and Military Sealift Command programs. Tracy also directs EMSR’s quality assurance and safety initiatives, ensuring strict adherence to NAVSEA standards, shipyard requirements, and regulatory obligations. Her responsibilities include SAM.gov submissions, documentation control, reporting, and comprehensive administrative oversight.

Tracy brings a strong foundation in organizational leadership and structured systems management. Her background in education cultivated disciplined documentation, training, and process development skills, essential in highly regulated government ship repair environments. Prior experience in banking further strengthened her expertise in financial oversight, risk assessment, and fiscal accountability.

Fluent in Spanish, Tracy enhances workforce communication and operational coordination across diverse project teams.

Under her leadership, EM Ship Repair maintains a commitment to precision, compliance, and operational excellence in support of federal maritime programs.

Edson Nales serves as Chief Operating Officer of EM Ship Repair, leading all field operations and production activities. Originally from Vieques, Puerto Rico, Edson began his ship repair career in 2011 as a helper and firewatch, advancing through the trades to become a First-Class Shipfitter before stepping into executive leadership.

As COO, Edson oversees workforce supervision, safety compliance, and trade execution across all projects. He ensures adherence to shipyard requirements and customer standards while maintaining efficient, professional field operations.

In addition to directing daily production, Edson manages material procurement, equipment coordination, manpower planning, and workforce reporting. His extensive hands-on trade experience provides practical leadership that aligns operational planning with disciplined execution in support of federal maritime programs.

Kasey Jones serves as Chief Technology Officer at EM Ship Repair, leading the company’s technology infrastructure and digital systems strategy in support of operational performance.

She directed the modernization of EMSR’s internal platforms, transitioning the organization to Microsoft 365 and strengthening system reliability, security, and communication across all projects. Her leadership included secure data migration, domain and DNS configuration, user deployment, and full integration of business systems such as QuickBooks to ensure uninterrupted financial operations.

By aligning technology with the demands of maritime repair operations, Kasey has established a secure and scalable foundation that supports EMSR’s continued growth and commitment to operational excellence.

Tracy E. Hogge serves as Director of Operations at EM Ship Repair, bringing more than 40 years of experience in U.S. Navy ship repair, modernization, and conversion.

Throughout his career, Tracy has supported government programs as a Shipbuilding Specialist, led major availabilities as Project Manager, and overseen complex repair execution in full compliance with NAVSEA and JFMM requirements.

At EMSR, he oversees project execution, integrates estimating with field operations, and directs subcontract strategy and operational performance across all availabilities. His leadership ensures disciplined execution, regulatory compliance, and efficient coordination in support of U.S. Navy and Military Sealift Command programs.

Tracy’s extensive industry knowledge and operational expertise strengthen EMSR’s ability to deliver high quality structural ship repair services with precision and accountability.
